Seals are must haves for any artist that paints in the oriental style. Normally an oriental artist needs one or more name seal and a few leisure seals. A seal can accompany us for a lifetime, and an art piece once sealed takes on a much lively spirit!

About Leisure Seal

• Usually composes of 1-4 characters, and there are short sentences (5, 7 or more characters) from poetry as well. It is also common to have image seals, including ancient mythical creatures or of buddha. The leisure seals are used more at ease, the shapes are also more free.
• Size: any size of the leisure seal is possible! See the exact seal directly
• Meaning: in this link we have selected some with great meanings for you, but you are welcome to choose your own favorite words! These words may be an actual way of being, or perhaps a way that is desired.
• The side of the stones sometimes have characters, they normally complete the entire seal’s meaning. It is not necessary to write all the characters from a poetry on the seal directly.
• Stone: we use the most commonly accepted stones (Qingtian 青田石 or Shoushan 寿山石) for the seal carving, they are known for their price-quality in making seals. The natural colors of these stones are generally light green, yellowish, or a bit red, please understand that the color is random.

• Pull all the scattered thoughts together, focus, find the scent that is pleasant to self instead of only to the others.
• Size: 1.5cm x 3cm x 5cm

Option 6: 業精於勤 (Ye Jing Yu Qin)

• A self-motivation, stating the importance to keep striving for excellence, to keep going!

Option 7: 雲水禪心 (Yun Shui Chan Xin)

• Let the clouds take away the flowing mind, a term from the Buddhism, finding the inner peace.
• Size: 2cm x 2cm x 8cm

• Only with a focused mind, one could achieve a higher level of being.
